Determination: Building Step by Step, Brick by Brick, Even in Doubt
We Don't Force Things, We Build Them
We're not forcing things, ladies. We're building them.
Brick by brick. Day after day.
Even when no one is watching.
Even when the result isn't visible yet.
Even when the people around us ask: “But what exactly are you doing?”
Before, I too tried to prove I was moving forward. Now, I just move forward. Simply. And so do you.
Determination Isn't the Absence of Doubt
Determination isn't the absence of doubt. It's the decision to keep going in spite of it.
Let's reread that sentence.
Again!
We all have doubts. Mornings when we wonder whether any of this is leading anywhere. But we get up with the same intention as the day before. Even when the day before produced nothing spectacular.
What No One Measures, and What Matters Enormously
What we're building right now, with patience, with consistency, with that energy no one measures but us...
It counts. Enormously!
And what each of us builds counts too. For ourselves, or for others.
We're further along than we think.
Stronger than our circumstances would have us believe.
And closer to the result than our impatience tells us.
Let's keep going. The result is coming. It's already on its way!
The Journaling Invitation: Our Brick of the Day
This month, we're learning to trust our inner voice. It often tells us the same thing: keep going, gently. Believing what we feel also means believing the result is on its way, even when we can't see it yet.
So tonight, let's open our notebooks and write:
Which brick did we lay today, even if no one saw it?
One line is enough. End to end, these lines become a wall, then a house. And the day doubt comes back, we'll be able to reread the proof of everything we've already built.
