October: Trusting My Inner Voice, One Decision at a Time

I promised I'd meet you again at the end of the month, to tell you how I lived this exercise, and this October, myself.

October wasn't an easy month. The news in France was heavy, very heavy. And yet, rereading my notes, I can see it taught me something important: trusting my inner voice, one decision at a time.

Protecting My Peace Without Guilt

This month, I cut out a lot of media. Not out of indifference. Out of protection.

Staying informed and being constantly exposed aren't the same thing. I can keep my eyes open to the world without giving it unlimited access to my head.

Before, I would have felt guilty for not following everything. Now, I ask myself what it costs me, and what it gives me.

I didn't wait for things to get better to take care of myself. I took care of myself while things weren't okay.

What Keeps Me Standing

I took refuge in a book I started last summer. It helps me stay motivated when my motivation level dips a little.

I stepped up my journaling and my written manifestation.

Where some people pray, I recite positive affirmations. They help me keep moving forward and chase away the thoughts I don't like.

And yes, I'm still making to-do lists. I get so much more done with them. Gentleness doesn't mean the absence of structure.

No Longer Rushing, but Still Building

I'm still a little behind on some projects. I know. But I no longer worry too much about the timing. I simply don't feel like it. It doesn't help me at all.

Before, being behind was a reproach. Now, it's information.

I'm focusing on structuring the life I'm building day after day. Step by step. Brick by brick.

Trusting My Inner Voice: Listen, Observe, Then Decide

Trusting my inner voice also means no longer adapting at all costs just to make things work.

My emotions are information, not proof. So I listen to what I feel, I observe behaviors, I think it through, and only then do I decide.

I no longer feel like watching my words to preserve a relationship, whatever it is. I have the right to set my conditions.

An Energy That Surprises Me

One Thursday, I attended a networking event. And for the next three days, I didn't feel the need to isolate myself to recover, as I usually do.

I enjoyed that change.

I'm not saying my hypersensitivity has disappeared. My “window closed” mode still exists, and I keep respecting it. But this experience added nuance to the idea I had of how I work.

Getting to know yourself also means staying open to the idea of evolving.

Writing Differently

This month, I asked myself a question that surprised me: can you end up running out of the desire to write?

I love writing. But when you also have to run a business, writing sometimes feels more like work than play. And I already have so many texts behind me.

I don't have all the answers. But a path is opening: writing less new material, and making better use of what already exists. Selecting, assembling, reworking.

That's actually what I'm doing here, with my older articles. Recycling them also means revising them and deepening reflections whose substance is still relevant, because it's anchored in my personality and in how my mind is built.

Her Birthday, Then Mine

Last month, it was my daughter's birthday. This month, I'm the one who blew out one more candle.

I'm very proud of the road I've traveled to come back to the surface since she left. I miss her enormously. But she's never far. She will always be in my heart.

I promised her I'd have a beautiful life and keep cultivating the joy of living, as we did together. Some days, when the world grows in stupidity and hatred, it's very hard. But I now know I don't need to be joyful every day to keep that promise.

I protect my head and I protect my heart. My mental health remains my number one priority.

What I'm Carrying Into November

I've found my personal development theme for 2027: sparkle, radiance, brilliance. I've even already started working on it.

The gentleness of 2026 will be its foundation. And I don't need to wait for January to begin.

If I had to sum up October in one word, it would be: preserve. Preserving my mental health, my energy, my joy of living, and my ambitions, without letting them become a permanent pressure.

So tonight, I'm opening my notebook, and I'm inviting you to do the same, if your heart says yes:

What is my inner voice asking me to preserve this week?
