More positive in 10 steps - 1

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

Step 1: Change your view of the world.

The first thing to do when you want to start changing your life, feel better and be happier, is to change your vision of the world.

Here are 4 suggestions for you to learn how to see things differently:

1. Understand that there are 2 worlds.

There is THE world and there is YOUR world.

Now, correct me, if I am wrong, but you do not live with the whole world and you do not sleep with 7.8 billions of people.

In fact, you only know and live around a limited number of people who are already very different from each other, and sufficiently different from yourself. So, avoid taking on yourself or back home, all the problems of the world and focus on your personal situation!

  • Ask yourself, for example, how what is happening in the world, often far from home, affects you directly. What real impact does it have on your life or in your daily life?

  • Realize that not everything concerns you directly.

  • Try and make this observation regularly, when you receive a piece of information, and you will be able to reduce the impact that some of it may have on you.

2. Stop criticizing everything.

Life is as it is. The world is as it is. Society is as it is. And people are as they are.

You know very well that this cannot be changed with a wave of a magic wand.

  • If you want things to be different, you have to first accept them as they are, and then help make them better.

  • If you don't want to participate, then what's the point of moaning and sneering?

  • Do you think this is good for your health? Or for your relationships with those around you?

For me, the world is neither good nor bad. It just brings together beautiful people and less beautiful people. Each person is as he is, and above all as they chose to be.

If some people are more beautiful souls than others or smarter than others... it's only because it takes everything to make a world.

All shapes, all sizes, all colors are part of our world. Isn't that precisely what makes it beautiful?

  • Didn't you claim the desire to be as you are?

  • So why blame others for the very same thing?

  • Stop thinking or saying bad things about others! In particular, if you hope that others think or say good things about you. This is crazy!

3. Always search for the bright side.

There is a positive point in everything, and there is also good in each individual.

Even if it is not always obvious, at first glance.

  • Keep looking for the good and the beautiful, all the time, even when the situation is a little more complicated than usual.

  • Do not give in to the desire to put everyone in the same package. You will only feel more alone in front of others and this will contribute to hurting you, when that is not your goal.

If you strive to grind only black, your vision of life will continually darken and, after a while, you will see only the least beautiful, or even the villain. Everything will seem dull and tasteless to you.

You then risk missing out on all the beautiful things that fill our universe: the sky, birds, trees, flowers, etc.

4. Stop dramatizing everything.

Despite what some media would have us believe, there is as much good news as there is not so much good news in this world. Otherwise, it would not stay in balance and the Earth would stop rotating. That is my opinion and I share it!

If you spend your time complaining endlessly or ruminating about what is wrong, life will give you more and more reasons to complain.

Whereas if you accept with gratitude what life offers you, you will soon find that it will offer you even more things to enjoy. It's that simple!

  • Try not to exaggerate your real situation, let alone anticipate, for no good reason, that something bad is going to happen.

  • Observe what you have and practice loving and enjoying it as long as it lasts!

  • Keep telling yourself that what might be better, might as well be worse.

  • Note for example that every morning, when you wake up, life already offers you wonderful news: you are alive!

  • Thank heaven, the Universe, or the God you believe in, and continue the adventure of life.

Always be convinced that, no matter what, life is still a great adventure!

Yours positively,

Estelle
